Specialties

I’m a licensed professional counselor and registered play therapist on a mission to help people create spaces to heal their inner hurts. Focusing on women’s issues, trauma, and anxiety, I provide individual therapy to individuals seeking to heal their deepest wounds, both old and new. I’m an ally to LGBTQQIA and BIPOC members. With over a decade of experience, I'm dedicated to supporting women with neurodivergence, anxiety, and depression to navigate through past traumas that are impacting their present relationships, parenting, and self-esteem.

Approach

I’m a pattern disruptor, a healer, and a space holder for all things sacred. Being a safe place to land, so you can feel your feelings and be heard, is why I do what I do. Therapy is hard, but it’s not as hard as what you’ve already been through. Something you’ll hear from me often in sessions is stuff can be two things. Healing is a journey (that’s not a straight line) and I’m here to walk alongside you on that path.

About Kami

I come from an extremely blended family and believe in the power of love over everything. That’s why working with families and kiddos is something I am passionate about. While I’m a therapist, I’m also a woman, wounded child, daughter, warrior, space holder, and friend. I feel the same pressures and insecurities as you: but together, we can emerge from the shadows and into the light.

I received my Bachelors of Art in Psychology and my Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Henderson State University, and my Doctorate of Philosophy in Counselor Education from the University of Mississippi. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (Arkansas #P161179), Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (#S2907), and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling at University of North Texas. I am trained in EMDR, Child Parent-Relationship Therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and Theraplay Level 1.
